At AquaCamp AZ, safety is our absolute top priority. We've implemented comprehensive measures to ensure every child enjoys a safe, secure, and positive experience:
- Certified Lifeguards - Professional lifeguards are on duty at all times while children are in or near water
- Low Staff-to-Camper Ratio - We maintain small groups to ensure personalized attention and supervision
- First Aid Certified Staff - All staff members are trained in first aid and CPR
- Secure Check-in/Check-out - Strict procedures ensure children leave only with authorized adults
- Regular Equipment Checks - All facilities and equipment undergo daily safety inspections
- Comprehensive Training - Our counselors receive extensive training in child safety, water safety, and emergency procedures
- Weather Monitoring - Indoor alternatives are always available during extreme heat or inclement weather
Parents can have peace of mind knowing that our facility meets or exceeds all local and state safety regulations for children's camps.
We maintain a 1:5 ratio for our youngest campers (ages 5-7) and a 1:8 ratio for older children (ages 8-12), exceeding industry standards to ensure proper supervision.
Our staff is trained to manage common allergies and medical conditions. We collect detailed health information during registration and create individual care plans when needed. All medications are stored securely and administered by designated staff.
We assess swimming ability on the first day and group children accordingly. Non-swimmers receive extra attention, use appropriate flotation devices, and participate in gentle skill-building activities in shallow water under close supervision.
All staff complete a comprehensive training program covering water safety, first aid, CPR, emergency procedures, child development, and behavior management before camp begins.
